THE GOLDEN ERA OF AUSTRALIAN CRICKET
The Australian cricket team is one of the toughest teams to defeat. Since the late 1990s to early 2010s Australia has been dominating on every page. They were the No. 1 team in the world in all the formats.
We can say that Australia has lived the Golden Era of cricket during this time period. Under the captaincy of Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting, Australia has won the ICC World Cup Champions from 1999 to 2007 consecutively. They have beaten all the teams and achieved this milestone.
Another interesting record Australia has, in 2003, Australia has won consecutively 23 ODI matches against 10 cricketing teams. No other team other than Australia has won 23 consecutive matches Australia also holds a record of having the best winning percentage among all the cricketing nations. They have a winning percentage of 63.91.
