Hockey is the national game of Pakistan. Each Pakistani is highly attached to hockey. The emotions, victories, and love for hockey are nervy. It’s been more than half-century Pakistan ruled in the world of Hockey whether it be Olympics or international tournaments. Pakistan owns groundbreaking records from 1947 till 2018. It was 9th September 1960, when Pakistan won its first gold medal in hockey in Olympics, defeating its rival INDIA in Rome. This is something which rises the emotions in all Pakistanis since its independence.

Pakistan Hockey team has marvelous achievements in the Men’s Field Hockey. Pakistan men’s field hockey holds the world record of winning four world cup titles in 1971, 1978, 1982, and 1994. Pakistan men’s field hockey team also has three gold medals for their spectacular gameplay in 1960, 1968, and 1984. In the late 20th century, Pakistan men’s field hockey was known as the ACE of the game. Teams played splendid gameplay against the best teams in the world such as England, India, and Australia, etc. As Mr. Ahmed H.E. said “youth is our wealth, a raw material, that must be hammered into shape, into burnished steel to strive” in Olympics games. Pakistan men’s field hockey achieved what the nation required and for what the team struggled.
