Lionel "The Goat" Messi
Lionel Andres Messi belongs to Argentinian professional football club who is currently the captain of both the teams including; Spanish club Barcelona and Argentina National team. Messi is a left-footed player who likes to stay at forwarding striking place mostly at the right-wing or attacking mid positions while sometimes at desperate needs, at the center forward position.
Messi was born on June
24, 1987 in the city of Rosario,
Argentina. In a very short time, Messi has attained his greatness in the
world of football very entertaining many football fans and supporters. He
starting playing football at the early
age of 8 while joined the domestic clubs in 1995. Many of the die-hard football fans call him “The Magician”. He was known for his
speed, perfect passing, and assists functioning, along with the skilled-based
dribbling which has dodged many biggest defenders in the world of football.
Lionel Messi played his first official match on 16th October 2004 against Espanyol, among the league known as Spanish League. Due to the astonishing
performances shown by him, Messi was appointed as the captain of Argentina
National team on 4th August,
2005.
One of the best shows by Messi was during the season 2006/07 when Lionel Messi scored the first-ever hat trick against their rivals, Real Madrid. He was the first youngest player ever in history to score a hat trick on El Clasico. Despite playing trump card by making fake injuries or dives, Messi plays the sport with passion and was born to play the football fair and square.

titles for Argentina.
For his brilliant performance in the field, Messi has been awarded by 6 Ballon d’Or awards. In his entire career, Lionel Messi has scored 741 goals and 310 direct assists in 918 games played. Despite his growth hormone deficiency in childhood, he was passionate about the game and devoted his life to this career. For his brilliance and fascinating play, Messi was given the nicknames of Atomic Flea and La Pulga Atomica.
