Novak Djokovic | The Serbian Terminator

Novak Djokovic is a professional tennis player who is currently ranked as the world no.1 in ATP ranking. Novak was born on 22nd May 1987 (33 years old) in Belgrade, Serbia. He is one of the most decorated players in tennis history with 18 career grand slams & 82 ATP singles titles (overall) to his name. He is considered by many even better than Fedal (Federer & Nadal) who are considered as the greatest of all times.

Novak first caught the eye of the media when he burst into the top 100 of ATP ranking at the tender age of 18. He made in mark when he became the first Serbian to win a grand slam title in 2008, where he won Australian Open defeating the Frenchman Tsonga in the process. By 2010, Novak had separated himself from the rest of men’s professionals and was now part of the most elite tennis group known as “Big Three” comprising of three all-time greats, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovic”. These 3 players have been dominating tennis for over 15 years now and they are still not done, as Novak even at the age of 33 won the first Grand Slam of 2021.

Novak Djokovic

Novak first became world no.1 in 2011, winning ¾ Grand Slam titles that year along with 5 Masters. Since then, he remained the most dominant player in the decade, leading the tour in both most Major & Master titles, & winning 4 out of the 5 World Tour Finals from 2012 till 2015. In 2015 Novak reached 15 consecutive finals which included the finals of all 4 grand slams & 8 Masters finals out of which he won 3 Grand slams and record-breaking 6 Masters in a single season. Next year He completed his career Grand-Slam after winning The French Open.

And now after his 18th Major title, he is just two majors shy of Federer and Nadal and he is strongly making a case for himself to be the greatest of all time (GOAT). At 33, he is a year younger than Rafa & 6 years younger than Roger, and if he can stay fit and continue this form them it's only a matter of time before the Serbian Terminator writes another page in the history books this time under the title “The Greatest and Most Decorated Tennis Player of All Time”.
