He is known for winning the 1985 world snooker championship against Steve Davis by potting the final black ball in the deciding frame of the world snooker championship. Dennis's distinction was his snooker glasses. The famous 1985 championship final's pressure environment changed into a fun and amusing gameplay when Dennis and Steve Davis came across, mainly due to Dennis Taylor's humor.
