 Wayne Rooney is a name forever carved into folklore of English football. He was known for the young, tenacious and energetic playing style and raw shooting accuracy. The legend is England's all time top scorer (53 goals) and also Manchester United's all time top scorer (253 goals, 183 in the Premier League). 

Wayne was Merseyside born and started off as a 17 year old for Everton in 2002. He spent two seasons there in which everybody got a glimpse of the prospect that lies ahead of their eyes. In 2004, Manchester United swooped him and managed to sign him, for a then record fee paid for a teenager (£25.6 million). It ended up being an absolute bargain as Wayne was sharing a dressing room with legends and being groomed under them allowed him to show the spectacle of a talent that he was - 1.76m tall but strong in the jump, technically gifted, incredible stamina, robust work rate, tenacious attitude and dedication. 

He is arguably the greatest premier league players of all time, and if not then he is still in elite company with the likes of Henry, Aguero, Shearer, Bergkamp. His versatility and relentless attacking mindset and work ethic led him to astonishing record breaking achievements. Wayne also stands at third in the Premier League top assisters of all time. An incredible striker, a creative mastermind with an abundant and incredible range of control over the ball and phenomenal vision for his range of passing - one of the best team players of his generation and an absolute fan favourite, Wayne will always be one of the greatest for not just United but for England and the entire world.
